spirit of Fujimi FC
In 1983, Fujimi Football Club - Official Site was established by a few people who just wanted to play soccer in this city, FUJIMI. However, back in this time, we did not have enough players to make a team. When we practice, we had only 4-5 players and all we could do was just to play a small game like futsal at Fujimi Nishi junior highschool.
After a while, we finally had enough players to play a 11-a-side game. We played south american style soccer which mainly focuses on their individual skills and we started to beat team that we played. But no matter how many times we requested a game of Pioneer Kawagoe that belonged to the prefecture league to which we set the goal, our request was rejected, which ended up in firing our mind up.
In 1985, as soon as Fujimi Football Association and Higashi Iruma District League were established, we joined the league. We proved our strength and won the district league. Then, we we advanced to the prefecture tournament, but the reality was not that easy for us. We lost in the first round.
In 1986, we strengthened the team in many points of view and we won the Higashi Iruma League with ease. Then, we were advanced to the final of tournament. But we once again lost the chance to reach our goal. We lost to Hidaka Club. After the game, we found ourselves crying because of the loss. It was a tough loss. But in our tears, they had determination in their mind.
